About the Role:
As an Analyst – Decision Science at Jumbotail, you will work at the intersection of business, product, and technology, helping teams make informed, data-driven decisions. Your role will focus on developing advanced pricing models, user behavior analyses, and credit models that directly influence Jumbotail’s growth and operational strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business and product teams to guide data-driven decision-making processes.
- Perform pricing analysis to generate insights, build pricing models, and design merchandising strategies for food and grocery products on the platform.
- Lead analyses of product data streams, including behavioral and click-through data, and build models of user behavior.
- Develop data visualizations of user funnels and interactions to enhance product and pricing strategies.
- Provide insights for product teams to create new optimization methods for product performance, selection strategies, and inventory planning to achieve GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) and Customer Experience goals.
- Research and design new frameworks, models, and processes for computing product affinity scores and demand-supply curves based on behavioral and transactional data.
- Design and execute experiments to answer targeted business questions and perform exploratory data analysis in high-dimensional data sets.
- Build business cases and models to quantify potential new opportunities using data-driven insights and business acumen.
- Develop credit models to assess customer eligibility and inform lending decisions.
This is a high-impact role that requires strong analytical abilities, business sense, and the motivation to contribute to meaningful change in India’s retail landscape.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or other quantitative disciplines, preferably from IIT, BITS, or IISc.
- 1–5 years of professional experience in an analytical or data science role.
- Experience working with large data sets and proficiency in SQL and leading data mining software.
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Experience building time series models and user behavior models.
- Ability to derive actionable insights from data and communicate findings clearly.
- Willingness to learn new analytical techniques and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High energy, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
